By using https://thenerd.network you agree to these terms. The site describes computer help for homes and small businesses in Houston and surrounding areas. Submitting a form is a request for contact, not a contract for repair, visits, or ongoing support.
SMS / text messaging program
The Nerd Network (“we,” “us”) operates an informational SMS program for customers who have opted in. We send texts about appointment confirmations, visit reminders, technician-on-the-way updates, and replies about your computer-help request. We do not use this program for advertising blasts, contests, or unrelated marketing. Messages are sent from The Nerd Network to the mobile number the customer provided. Typical volume is a few messages around a scheduled visit; message frequency varies.
Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase or requesting service. You can also opt out by emailing support@thenerd.network or calling (832) 413-2415. After an opt-out we send one confirmation and then stop. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
How you opt in
We only text numbers that opted in through one of these methods:
- Website form. On https://thenerd.network/contact and the homepage form at https://thenerd.network, an optional SMS checkbox is shown unchecked. Checking the box and submitting a mobile number is consent. The form quotes the program, frequency, rates, STOP/HELP, and that consent is not required to request service, and it links this page and the Privacy Policy.
- Verbal consent. During a phone call we read that The Nerd Network will text the number you confirm about appointment confirmations, visit reminders, technician-on-the-way updates, and replies about your computer-help request, plus frequency, rates, STOP/HELP, and that consent is optional. We record the date, the number, and that you said yes before sending program texts.
- Keyword confirmation. If you text START, YES, or UNSTOP to our business number after a conversation, we send a confirmation that you are opted in to The Nerd Network texts about appointment confirmations, visit reminders, technician-on-the-way updates, and replies about your computer-help request, with STOP/HELP and rate language, before adding you to the program.
What we do not do
We do not sell mobile numbers or SMS consent. We do not share them with third parties for those parties’ own marketing. Opting in is never required to buy service, book a visit, or use this website.

No guarantees in marketing copy
Service descriptions explain typical work. They are not a warranty of uptime, breach prevention, ranking, or 24/7 coverage unless a signed agreement says so. Security language on this site is limited to work we actually deliver.

Site content belongs to The Nerd Network unless otherwise noted. You may not copy it for another commercial site without permission.
