The Nerd Network (“we”) operates https://thenerd.network. This page describes how we handle information submitted through the website, including optional SMS consent. It is not legal advice. SMS program rules also appear in our Terms of Use.
What we collect
The contact form collects name, company, email, phone, preferred contact method, need type, user count, locations, urgency, the description you write, and whether you checked the optional SMS box. We also receive standard server logs (IP address, user agent) and, if analytics is configured, aggregated usage data from Google Analytics.
How we use it
Inquiry details are used to respond to your request, qualify work, and keep a record of the conversation. We do not sell form submissions. A hidden honeypot field and Cloudflare Turnstile on the contact form are used to reduce spam.
SMS / text messages
The Nerd Network may send informational SMS texts about appointment confirmations, visit reminders, technician-on-the-way updates, and replies about your computer-help request only after you opt in. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase or requesting service.
You can opt in in any of these ways:
- Checking the optional, unchecked SMS box on the public contact form at https://thenerd.network/contact or on the homepage form at https://thenerd.network, and submitting a mobile number.
- Giving verbal consent on a phone call after we describe the program, frequency, rates, STOP/HELP, and that consent is optional.
- Texting START, YES, or UNSTOP to our business number after a conversation; we send a confirmation before treating that as opt-in.
We use the mobile number you provide only to send those program messages and to record that you opted in. We do not sell mobile numbers or SMS consent. We do not share them with third parties for their own marketing. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
You can opt out at any time by replying STOP. After you opt out we will send a single confirmation and then stop. Reply HELP for help, or use the contact form or support@thenerd.network.
Retention and security
Messages are stored in email and any CRM or ticket system we operate. Transport uses HTTPS. We keep inquiries as long as needed to provide support or meet legal obligations, then delete or archive them.
